Abraham Nunes Cardozo, a Portuguese descendant of Dutch origin, was one of the Jews imprisoned in the German Concentration Camp in Theresienstadt between 1944 and February 1945.
Together with his wife, Ida, he later applied for asylum in the Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he obtained a refugee visa until mid-May 1945.
